Meet Your Wedding Floral Designer

Hello!

I’m Kristin, your wedding floral designer.  Here I am pictured to the left decorating my own wedding cake.  There was no way I was going to let someone else do it.  Often I get asked, “Did you do your wedding flowers?”  What do you think I said?  ABSOLUTELY!  There was no way I was going to have someone else do it.  Of course I had to have many people set everything up the day of my wedding, but otherwise, every stem went through my hands, and I loved every minute of it.

It definitely was a big undertaking, so I know exactly what you are going through or are about to go through.  Planning your wedding flowers, or your wedding for that matter, is like having a full time job.

It might have crossed your mind, should I hire her to design my wedding flowers?  Of course you should, LOL!  As you can see from the picture, this is me as a baby standing in front of my family florist in Queens.

I grew up in the back of the family florist in a play-pen.  As I got older I wanted to help out, but I got the not so fun jobs like sweeping, filling water tubes and dusting.  As I look back now, it taught me responsibility and it wasn’t just designing that had to be done to run a business.  As time went on I started helping customers, answering the phones and then designing.  I didn’t take a liking to designing until I was in college.

During college I worked at the shop part time and really started to love everything about the business.  I didn’t mind sweeping the floor, dusting or filing water tubes anymore.  Wanting to learn more about how the business worked I kept on asking more and more questions.  From there I enrolled in a wedding program and fell in love with weddings.  It didn’t stop there, I attended every floral event that came around, volunteered at floral expos so I can learn from the most talented designers in the nation and the world and I also volunteered at the Philadelphia Flower Show.

I also pushed my own boundaries and designed trendy floral pieces to present at the Long Island Floral Association.

I’m very proud of the designer I have become and I strive to always continue my education and learn more within the industry.  It’s time to be creative with your wedding, are you ready, if so click here to tell me about it.
