A Sea Cliff Manor wedding on the Fourth of July feels especially meaningful—warm, joyful, and rooted in timeless celebration—and Keirstin and James’ day reflected that beautifully.
As their Long Island wedding florist, I loved bringing their colorful, wildflower-inspired vision to life in a way that felt personal, intentional, and true to who they are.
From the very beginning of our planning process, their vision was clear: something colorful, wildflower-inspired, and simple in the most intentional way.
A Love Rooted in Time and Adventure
Keirstin and James were together for seven and a half years before getting married. Although they had known each other for years, their relationship grew stronger as they got older, forming a steady partnership built on trust and balance. James is Keirstin’s rock—grounded and levelheaded—and together they share a love of hiking, travel, and living simply, with room for adventure.
James proposed on a tulip farm Keirstin had dreamed of visiting for years, a moment that felt perfectly aligned with who they are and how deeply he understands her love of flowers, gardens, and nature. It set the tone for a wedding where florals weren’t just décor, but a meaningful part of the story.

A Fourth of July Sea Cliff Manor Wedding
Set high above the Long Island Sound on the North Shore, Sea Cliff Manor is a historic Gold Coast estate that offers couples a truly intimate experience. One of the things that makes a Sea Cliff Manor wedding so special is that the venue hosts only one event at a time, allowing the day to feel private, unrushed, and entirely your own.
With its graceful columned entrance, light-filled interior spaces that open toward the shoreline, and gardens that naturally guide the flow of the day, the manor creates a seamless setting for both ceremony and reception. On-site private dressing suites allow couples and their wedding party to settle in and get ready comfortably, which adds to the overall sense of ease. It’s a venue that feels elegant and historic without feeling stiff—ideal for couples who value both beauty and intention.
The wedding took place on July Fourth, and the day was warm, as expected for a midsummer holiday. Keirstin and James’ laid-back personalities shone through; they were relaxed, smiling, and fully present, enjoying each moment as it unfolded.
Thoughtful Attire with Meaning

Keirstin wore a timeless A-line gown with a scoop neckline, delicate floral lace accents, and shoulder straps that tied into soft bows—a romantic detail that felt classic and effortless. James wore a light gray suit paired with a light blue shirt, thoughtfully coordinated with Keirstin’s shoes to serve as their “something blue.”

The bridesmaids wore a mix of pastel colors and varying styles, creating a cohesive yet collected look. Some even chose floral patterns, which tied in beautifully with the overall floral design and color palette.
Florals Inspired by a Love of Flowers

The floral palette was intentionally vibrant and joyful. Keirstin loves flowers in all forms and didn’t want to shy away from color—she wanted something that felt abundant and expressive, much like a garden in full bloom. The ceremony arbor featured a gorgeous selection of blooms in the wedding color palette adorning the top left, framing the couple in a way that felt organic and artful.

The ceremony chairs were lined with small clusters of blooms, each accented with an ivory satin ribbon trailing down, adding softness and movement as guests made their way to their seats. Keirstin’s bridal bouquet was an elegant, hand-tied garden-style arrangement weaving together pastel tones—light blue and lavender, soft peaches, shades of pink, and a touch of yellow—keeping the overall look warm, personal, and perfectly suited to the couple.

For the reception, each table featured a colorful collection of bud vases filled with the same blooms used throughout the day—garden roses, spray roses, delphinium, ranunculus, and more—creating continuity from ceremony to reception while keeping the design light, intentional, and refined.
One of my favorite moments of any wedding day is handing the bride her bouquet, and this day was no exception. Keirstin absolutely loved hers, and seeing that joy is something I never take for granted.
Personal Touches That Reflected the Couple
As favors, Keirstin and James chose jars filled with candy labeled “Love is Sweet,” a simple and thoughtful detail that felt true to their personalities.
As part of our service at Chic, when the groom and groomsmen are dressed and ready, we’re always happy to pin boutonnieres. It’s a small detail, but one that ensures everything looks polished and properly placed—something I care deeply about.
A Wedding That Felt True

Keirstin and James found us online and shared that from the very first consultation, they felt supported, heard, and relieved. Being attentive, detail-oriented, and thoughtful throughout the planning process is always my goal, especially for couples who value artistry and clear communication.
This Sea Cliff Manor wedding was colorful without being overwhelming, simple without being sparse, and deeply personal in every way. It was a true reflection of Keirstin and James—their love, their ease with one another, and the life they’re building together.

If you’re planning your own Sea Cliff Manor wedding or getting married anywhere on Long Island and want florals that feel intentional, artful, and thoughtfully designed, I would love to hear your story.

Meet Kristin | Your Sea Cliff Manor Wedding Florist

I’m Kristin, the owner and designer behind Chic a floral boutique on Long Island. I’m a lover of nature, morning coffee, and all things flowers—especially my growing collection of dahlias. Each year, I add new plants to the garden with the hope of using what blooms in future weddings and events. When I’m not designing, you’ll find me playing backgammon or gathered around an outdoor fire in the winter. Flowers, seasonality, and designing wedding florals with intention that feel natural to each celebration are at the heart of everything I create.
